Pregl hates leaks.

Sooner or later, all vacuum furnaces develop leaks. Leaks not only cause operational inefficiency, but that can have an adverse effect on the quality of your processed parts and cause damage to internal components of your furnace. Small leaks are particularly concerning because they often go undetected and can cause serious damage. Areas commonly susceptible to leaks include: door seals, valves, flanges, feed-throughs, joints (threaded, welded, brazed), improperly installed fittings, O-ring seals, gaskets and chamber welds.
