Engineer solution allows use of existing parts inventory.
Pregl Services, Inc. (Pregl), providers of comprehensive aftermarket support to the thermal processing industry, today announced a contract to rebuild a large vacuum furnace hot zone for a Midwestern location of a large commercial heat treater.
This customer wanted to ensure it could use its existing inventory of replacement parts on the rebuilt hot zone. With this in mind, Pregl engineered a solution that allowed the customer to exhaust the inventory of parts in their stockroom, as well as provide upgrades to new Pregl components, which maximize furnace efficiency and performance. The customer’s hot zone will be rebuilt at Pregl’s facility in Janesville, Wisconsin. All insulation, shielding and hardware will be removed. Damaged components will be repaired or replaced. The plenum will be cleaned and repaired. New insulation, elements and element hangers, gas nozzles, and shielding will be installed.
